THERMOFORMING PROCESS PARAMETER OPTIMIZATION OF THERMOPLASTIC PEKK/CF and PPS

Thermoplastic composite parts in the aerospace industry have recently been increased due to reshaping and reused potentials of thermoplastic materials. The thermoforming process is an effective manufacturing methodology form main benefits are low cost short time. Optimization parameters essential for correct production. In this present study, effects plate geometry connection technique, pre-heating, pressing investigated experimentally Poly Ether Ketone / Carbon Fiber (PEKK CF) Polyphenylene Sulfid (PPS) sheets. Results reveal that wrinkle warping problems formed sheets minimized by optimization these parameters.
